1.What are system tools ?
System Tools can be defined as :A combination of security and system maintenance tools like:
Antispyware
- Prevent or remove trozans, bugs which secretly monitors your activity and send information to the developer so that they can sell it to the advertisers
- Such trozans can steal personal informations
- As system will be monitored you will lose your privacy
- Installation of the bugs will slow down your system
Memory Optimizer
- Optimizes and/or frees up the use of RAM
- With greater memory the system will run faster and smoother
Uninstallers
This tools remove the programs which have no uninstallers or the default uninstaller is unable to remove the software from the computer
- Such programs will unnecessarily occupies a lot of space
- Will use the system resource
- Can slow down the computer start up if it automatically starts during system bootup
Startup Manager
The programs which starts when the systems boots can be found at the Start Up folder. But often few programs will hide themselves but still runs it scripts at the background and thus :
- Makes the system start up slow
- Sometimes it corrupts the system files
- Can prevent the computer from starting up
Antivirus
An antivirus is a software which removes or prevents a computer virus to run and replicate in the system.
- The software identifies the viral programs by comparing it with its virus database and kill or delete them from the system.
- Replication of viral programs is one of the major reasons why computers become inoperable.
Internet Security
Protects the computer from phishing sites, trozan installation, unnecessary pop ups and running of malicious scripts while using the net
Defragmentor
Defragmentation is nothing but a procedure to fragment the memory into different parts and reallocating the stored information’s in an organised manner so that optimal use of the system memory can be achieved.
Actually, information is stored haphazardly during its first entry into the memory. Often they get clogged into certain parts of the memory while the other parts remain free.
So even if there are free memories, the computer can get slow as it had to extract information from the clogged region. A de-fragmentor will remove the clogs and realign the memory so that each part is optimally used but easily accessible.
2. Any System Tool must possess the following essential features so that the computers can be protected and maintained in maximum efficiency:
- Maximum protective and maintenance tools(as described in Section 1) is available
- Very easy to use as layman will operate – no programming, no commands, only mouse click will start the job
- Must differentiate with a real infected file from a non-infected file even if they are similar
- Database must be frequently updated
- Active tech-support
- System must run at same speed after installation of the tools
- User must be comfortable to operate the computer after the installation of the tool-pop up,un-necessary messages etc-must be avoided
