How to convert paper maps into data driven real time interactive maps ?

GIS use

Any paper copy of maps can be converted into a digital map displaying real-time data with the help of GIS software. Here point shapefile is used to represent placemarks whereas line shapefile is applied for depicting roads, pipelines, etc. and polyline or polygon shapefiles are used for the representation of the area. All the shapefile is connected to the attribute table which in turn converts the map into an interactive data-driven representation of the paper copy of the sitemap. Below is the slideshow :

You may also see my presentation on Terminologies of GIS to know about the definition of shapefile and attribute table.

How to make software without code ?

Programming language like C, C++, Java or scripts like PHP, JavaScript help us to make ineractive applications that can easily accomplish repetitive works or complex goals. But can you build such applications without knowing any programming languages? Each application is based on data .Data is stored in a database. The programming languages take the data as required and with the data it performs the job it was instructed to do. So every application has a database and programming language to solve the problem. It also has interfaces that help a user to give the input of the problem and also to see the output of the same. MS Excel can also do the same. With MS Excel and a software called Spread Sheet Converter (earlier Excel Everywhere) anyone can develop a complete user friendly application. Everyone using a computer need to know MS Excel which is a simple application that helps a user to perform various calculation and store data in a table like interface. If you know Excel well then ...

How to use aquarium water as natural fertilizer ? Part 1 of 7

You can use aquarium water as a mild organic fertilizer by applying it during water changes, but you need to dilute it, use only suitable tanks, and avoid overdoing it. Why aquarium water works Fish waste and uneaten food break down into nitrates plus some phosphorus, potassium and micronutrients, which plants can absorb quickly. The water also carries beneficial bacteria that stimulate soil life, similar to a light compost tea. Nutrient levels are usually low to moderate, so it acts more like a gentle, regular feed than a strong chemical fertilizer. Which aquarium water is safe Use: Freshwater tanks with healthy fish, no recent disease outbreaks. Water that has not been recently treated with medications, algicides, or strong chemical fertilizers; these residues can be unsafe for edible plants and soil microbes. “Dirty” but not foul‑smelling water from routine water changes (slight haze is fine; rotten smell means anaerobic conditions, avoid). Avoid or be cautious with: Saltwater or ...
