The fourth-order Runge-Kutta method (SRK) is a numerical method for estimating the solution to a first-order differential equation. The SRK technique generates a final estimate of the solution based on four slope estimates: k1: The slope at the beginning of the time step k2: The slope at the midpoint of the time step k3: Another estimate of the slope at the midpoint of the time step k4: The slope at the endpoint of the time step This post discusses the SRK approach and how it is utilised for Flood Routing instead of graphical methods such as Pul's or Goodrich's approach.
