Recently I found a Linkedin video where groundwater was extracted by a seesaw in a school. Its a nice idea as both energy and water is scarce and if we can use the momentum generated due to the movement of a seesaw to replace pumps for extraction of groundwater, then a sufficient amount of electricity can be conserved. The harmonic motion of the seesaw can be converted into a linear motion of a tube-well to collect ground water. It is totally a zero energy concept which can be implemented where required. As seesaw is inexpensive the entire system will be cost effective.
